The concept of creating the AMOUAGE brand was simple yet demanding, distilled into two words: “royal gift.” The Sultan of Oman desired such perfumes when he initiated the establishment of the brand, aiming to breathe new life into the ancient perfumery tradition. For a royal brand, only the best was good enough. From the very first perfumes, both male and female, Amouage Gold, it was evident that the combination of the finest ingredients, exquisite craftsmanship, spirituality, and passion—traditional and avant-garde—unerringly creates exceptional works. Where the East meets the West, a blend of cultures that has captivated us throughout history is born. The name of the perfume itself is a combination of the French word for love and the Arabic word for wave, which can be translated as "a surge of emotions."
