You are alone in the empty hall of the Garnier Opera; silence echoes with the reverberations of theatrical life. Old wooden chairs are covered in velvet and dust, heavy curtains of red velvet, flowers wrapped in cellophane. In the air — the scent of hairspray, body powder, fabrics, fruit, and champagne.
The perfume is a ray of sunlight piercing through the darkness of the theater before the show begins.
Just yesterday, you dreamed of becoming a ballet dancer; today you know — a dream is merely a goal to strive for.
