Ex Nihilo’s iconic fragrance dazzles on its world tour.

Metropoliten Perfumeries at the Bristol Hotel hosted on November 5th, as part of the world tour, the new fragrance star Blue Talisman Extrait de Parfum, presented to select guests by Sylvie Loday, one of the three founders of the Parisian brand EX NIHILO.

Blue Talisman, launched to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Ex Nihilo, was conceived as a perfume jewel – polished, luxurious, and radiant. The audience immediately fell in love, and the fragrance became an instant success, giving the brand new momentum with this shining star in the crowded perfume landscape. This year, the fragrance has been reborn as an Extrait de Parfum of the same name.

For this celebratory edition, we wanted Blue Talisman to be full of joy, inspired by Paris’s Place Vendôme, where our brand was born, and connected to modern jewelry. The perfume is crafted like a diamond, a charm, or a talisman, bringing delight to its wearer. Blue Talisman Extrait de Parfum is designed as the same jewel, further refined, with new effects. It is a more sophisticated, complex, and intense version of the fragrance, said Sylvie Loday.

With her education from the prestigious MIT, Sylvie brought a passion for the limitless possibilities of biotechnological innovations to the brand. One of these is the Osmologue - a device for precise blending of fragrance ingredients, allowing clients in select Ex Nihilo boutiques worldwide to personalize their chosen perfume with the help of a perfumer, adding some of the world’s most prized notes, including Iris Pallida or Bourbon Vanilla.

It was the first machine of its kind, allowing our clients to create their personalized perfume instantly, right in the boutique, and we are extremely proud of it, added Sylvie Loday.

Ex Nihilo is a brand proud of its avant-garde spirit and its connection to French perfume tradition and artistry.

Later in the evening, a domestic brand blending tradition and innovation organized a jewelry-making workshop for Metropoliten guests. Nenad Stojaković, founder of Studio Manufactura, combined his fascination with micro-world aesthetics, molecular biology studies, ancient filigree techniques, and local artistic traditions to present his fine jewelry-making method. He created a necklace with a pendant for the Blue Talisman Extrait de Parfum bottle, adorning the blue jewel with specially crafted jewelry for that evening.

When asked how she would describe the Ex Nihilo brand in three words, Sylvie answered: Creative, innovative, future-oriented.
