This time, it is Sloj Bakery, a bistro with an authentic visual identity, an unconventional all-day-breakfast concept, and an eclectic fusion of Russian, Serbian, and international culture and culinary traditions.
The starting point of this collaboration is Byredo’s fragrance, Rouge Chaotique, inspired by the idea of chaos as a creative force—one that, through the clash of dissonant notes, gives birth to new beauty, new emotions. A new vision of love.
Sloj has created a dessert that serves as a visual, flavorful, and aromatic counterpart to the Byredo perfume—a fragrance where saffron contrasts with blackcurrant and lemon, praline and plum merge into a rich accord, while patchouli and papyrus add depth and contrast.
The Rouge Chaotique dessert is a harmonious chaos of expertly layered sour cherry and plum mousse, chocolate sponge cake, a crisp almond praline layer, plum confit, red and black currants, and a hint of pink pepper.
Far from the saccharine image of romantic love, both the Rouge Chaotique perfume and its namesake dessert reveal layers of light and dark, brightness and shadow, sweetness and tartness, indulgence and intensity.
