We suggest that clay should definitely be a part of your spring skincare routine.
With all the super-modern technological ingredients, clay remains a skincare staple due to its dual role: it absorbs impurities and excess oil while delivering minerals to the skin. We recommend including clay in your spring skincare routine.
It comes from nature, generously absorbing everything bad from our skin and gifting us its beneficial ingredients. Clay is a small, humble miracle of cosmetics. Its effects on the skin are numerous:
- Removes toxins and impurities from the skin
- Deeply cleanses pores
- Accelerates microcirculation
- Rich in minerals
- Improves complexion
- Contributes to better skin tone (“lifting effect”)
- Provides gentle exfoliation and gives a radiant appearance
Most clays work this way, but in cosmetics, green and white clay are most commonly used.
WHICH CLAY IS FOR ME?
All clays are of natural origin, resulting from the decomposition of rocks: depending on the type of materials from which they were formed, they contain different compositions and concentrations of minerals and vary in color.
GREEN – The most commonly used clay in cosmetics is green clay. It helps purify the skin, removes excess oil, and improves tone and complexion. It contains a lot of iron oxides, which have antibacterial properties. This makes it ideal for caring for oily or acne-prone skin and for purifying enlarged pores. Green clay can dry out the skin, so masks often contain various herbal substances depending on their purpose. Due to its effective oil absorption, it is also used in mattifying products for oily skin.
BENTONITE – Bentonite clay comes from volcanic ash, so its minerals differ – from silicon dioxide to magnesium, potassium, and iron oxides. It is good for normal and oily skin.
WHITE – White clay, or kaolin, is the gentlest type of clay, suitable for sensitive or dry skin. It is a common addition to soaps, scrubs, toothpaste, and face masks. You can find it in white or pink color.
CLEAN SKIN IN 5 MINUTES
Thanks to its purifying properties, clay is used in shower gels, shampoos, toothpaste, daily care creams, and anti-cellulite wraps… but it is most commonly associated with face masks. We recommend three exceptional masks for a glowing complexion after just five minutes of use!
Dr. Hauschka – 100% natural purifying clay mask – This powdered clay mask is simply mixed with water and applied to the face. If your skin is dry, it is recommended to add a little Dr. Hauschka Soothing Cleansing Milk to the mask. In addition to clay, it contains valuable herbal extracts of witch hazel and nasturtium.
Malin + Goetz purifying mask with 2 types of clay – Combines bentonite and kaolin, deeply cleanses the skin, absorbs excess oil and impurities, and gently exfoliates. A botanical concentrate of five plants and fatty acids from sunflower seed oil helps hydrate and soothe, making the mask suitable for sensitive skin.
Darphin purifying aromatic clay mask – In addition to clay, it contains essential oils of cypress, lavender, aloe vera extracts, and rose, which contribute to a radiant and refreshed complexion, while the scent transforms skincare into a delightful experience.
