Diptyque Orpheon Limited Edition
The Orphéon perfume was launched in 2021 to celebrate Diptyque’s 60th anniversary. It is inspired by the eponymous nightclub that, in the early 1960s, was located next to the Diptyque boutique. The club radiated warmth and the bohemian spirit of Paris, making it a favorite gathering place for the brand’s founders. After the club closed, they acquired the space and expanded their store—securing Orphéon as a lasting part of Diptyque’s legacy.
The perfume quickly became one of the brand’s bestsellers, gradually earning its cult status among niche fragrance enthusiasts. Today, Diptyque offers Orphéon in a limited-edition design, available in a 30ml bottle.
The perfume’s woody notes evoke the club’s wooden furnishings, tonka brings warmth to the ambiance, while jasmine recalls the early 1960s, when this floral note dominated women’s fragrances—making the Orphéon club itself smell of various jasmine interpretations. Diptyque describes it as a jazz club in a bottle.
