Eight & Bob Le 19 Trou De La Phare
Albert Fouquet, the creator of the perfumes that form the core of the Eight&Bob brand, often stayed in Biarritz with friends, and his collaborators from Burgundy—who took care of the family vineyards and wine—would also come there. In Biarritz, they discussed the grape harvest and plans for the September vintage. The rituals of these annual meetings included mornings spent on the golf course, where they showcased themselves in perfumes during the game. A special ritual involved dinner by the 19th hole, which the losing team paid for, and then had to walk into the sea fully clothed and return soaked to the hotel lobby to ask the surprised receptionists at the Palais Hotel for their room keys.
As a memento of these gatherings, Fouquet created a perfume which he gifted to three friends and valued collaborators.
Dominant notes: black pepper, leather, patchouli, cedar.
