Kilian Paris Woman In Gold
Woman in Gold is inspired by the portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer, painted in 1907 — the only woman Gustav Klimt ever painted twice. Adele was a leading patron of the arts in Vienna, a cultural icon, and a trendsetter. The fragrance reflects the same dazzling complexity, enchanting glamour, and sense of intrigue.
The perfume’s notes form an olfactory interpretation of delicate gold leaf, playing with light and shadow — a defining detail that brought Klimt’s painting its iconic status.
Perfumer Calice Becker drew her inspiration from the painting’s fascinating contrast and depth, describing it as textured, brilliant, rich, and opulent.
The unique top note reveals bergamot oil of exceptional quality, extracted using traditional methods, says Becker.
Its radiant freshness expresses light through scent. At the heart of the composition, floral notes reveal every facet of the rose. In the base, a lavish dose of vanilla absolute is enriched with an exclusive patchouli molecule known as Akigalawood.
The luxurious box housing the perfume also echoes the visual language of Klimt’s masterpieces.
Key notes: bergamot oil, rose, patchouli (Akigalawood), vanilla absolute
