L'Objet Kerylos
Kérylos is a collection inspired by Mediterranean landscapes. The Kérylos eau de parfum was created in collaboration with the brand by the renowned Jean-Claude Ellena.
- I worked in an artisanal manner, without relying on industrial methods, says Ellena about this creation. A preference for refined work, a quest for beauty, and the shared Mediterranean roots were signs that we should collaborate. With the Kérylos perfume, I wanted to create a burst of light, to capture that feeling of sunlit joy and encapsulate it in a bottle. That’s why I used citrus fruits, which symbolize the sun, even in winter. A tree that bears flowers and fruits during winter is typical of the Mediterranean.
Kérylos is a romantic blend of mandarin, grapefruit, and yuzu fruit, harmoniously immersed in white musk, sandalwood, and wild grasses. The perfume’s name originates from Greek mythology and is associated with a bird symbolizing new beginnings and optimism.
The bottle has a classic bell-shaped design made of black glass, reminiscent of bottles on the shelves of old apothecaries. The cap is wooden, with a cracked lacquer finish, a signature element of the brand.
