Parfums De Marly Althair
Althaïr explores a masterful, subtle, and surprisingly fresh vanilla – a vanilla that is elegant, luxurious, and charismatic," says Julien Sprecher, founder and artistic director of Parfums de Marly.
Althaïr is a modern interpretation of the famous perfumery ingredient: bourbon vanilla, a direct descendant of the vanilla that arrived in France during the reign of Louis XV.
The bottles containing the men's fragrances feature a logo with a bas-relief of horses, originally commissioned by Louis XV for the Château de Marly in 1743. The breed depicted gave rise to some of the most famous and fastest thoroughbred horses in history — inspiring the names of several of the brand’s fragrances, such as Godolphin, Athalia, Safanad, and Percival.
