Parfums de Marly Herod
Herod is personified by its blend of diverse notes, exuding a smoky vanilla scent. This eau de parfum opens on spicy top notes of cinnamon and pepper to then show its powerful heart of tobacco leaf, incense, ciste and osmanthus. These peppery notes are further surrounded by vanilla pods, musk, patchouli and woody accord at the base. Herod is a men’s fragrance that is elegant, classic, and exotic — a true embodiment of traditional sophistication found in the finest masculine perfumes. Yet, its richness and warmth make it equally captivating on a woman, offering a versatile scent that transcends gender.
The bottles of the men’s fragrances feature a horse emblem in relief, inspired by the design commissioned by Louis XV for the Château de Marly in 1743. The horse breed depicted gave rise to some of the most famous and fastest thoroughbreds in history, after which several of the brand’s men’s fragrances are named: Godolphin, Athalia, Safanad, and Percival.
