Parfums de Marly Pegasus
Measured masculinity, electrifying power — this unique creation draws its depth from vanilla and oriental notes of amber, sandalwood, natural oud, and guaiac wood. The fragrance offers a deconstruction of traditional stereotypes often found in the world’s finest men’s perfumes, presenting a modern interpretation full of character and long-lasting presence.
With a floral heart colored by jasmine, lavender, bitter almond, and geranium, Pegasus achieves a refined balance of fruit and spice.
The brand’s logo, seen on the bottle and cap, features the iconic horse sculptures commissioned by Louis XV in 1743 for his Château de Marly estate — the originals of which are still preserved in the Louvre.
Parfums de Marly is a French perfume house founded by Julien Sprecher in 2009. Inspired by the grandeur of Château de Marly — a lavish retreat once used by Louis XV to entertain a privileged few — the brand blends tradition with modernity, opulence with elegance, creating a true homage to French cultural heritage.
The men’s fragrance bottles feature a raised horse emblem inspired by the design ordered by Louis XV in 1743. The breed depicted gave rise to some of the most legendary and fastest racehorses in history — horses that inspired the names of several men’s perfumes from the brand, including Godolphin, Athalia, Safanad, and Percival.
