Parfums de Marly Sedley
Sedley is airy, vibrant, and fresh — a cloud of watery and airy notes that gives it a classic-modern character, signature to Parfums de Marly creations. Sparkling bergamot, cool mint, and a watery accord open the composition, leading into a heart of geranium, lavender, and solar notes. In the background, woody notes — reminiscent of the finest men’s fragrances — add a touch of contemporary elegance.
Parfums de Marly is a French perfume house founded by Julien Sprecher in 2009. Inspired by the opulence of the Château de Marly, once the entertainment retreat of Louis XV and his privileged circle, the brand is a tribute to French cultural heritage — blending tradition with modernity, and luxury with refinement.
The men’s fragrance bottles bear the embossed logo of two thoroughbred horses, referencing the sculptures commissioned by Louis XV in 1743 for the Marly estate. This legendary breed produced some of the fastest and most renowned racehorses in history, inspiring the names of several Parfums de Marly fragrances: Godolphin, Athalia, Safanad, and Percival.
