When we first opened Metropoliten in Vračar many years ago, with slight trepidation we awaited impressions and inevitable comparisons with our first, large and airy Dorćol perfumery. The rivalry between the two central city districts in terms of creativity, prestige or charm had to be reflected in Metropoliten as well.
The first Metropoliten Vračar located at Njegoševa 46 was smaller, more intimate than the one in Dorćol. The dark walls softened the shadows, and the wooden shelves and brass details in the design evoked the patina and long memory of the old, prestigious Belgrade quarter. Vračar residents slowly discovered and embraced their perfumery, and the time had come to expand our horizons, raise the ladder, add another floor and conquer a new corner. A new, larger Metropoliten Vračar remained in Njegoševa street, moving slightly up the street to number 72. Our previous space in Njegoševa 46 is now occupied by our new, purely cosmetic project: MET PLUS.
Like the perfumery in Dorćol, Metropoliten Vračar now shines at the corner, the view through the large windows extends from Njegoševa to Kursulina street, and the light is refracted through the scents of the same bottles in both perfumeries.
Metropoliten dedicates a lot of attention to the design of its spaces. We want our perfumeries to be not only galleries of noble, exclusive fragrance creations, but also to leave a mark on the city's urban face whose values our interiors respect and preserve, as well as enriche with new creative elements. We believe that Metropoliten Vračar is consistent with this mission.
Metropoliten's concept has been nurtured since 2006, when the first Serbian "niche" perfumery emerged with an ambitious name and the idea of introducing the metropolis to new perfume ideas and different experiences in selecting and buying fragrances - this has brought us a recognition beyond the borders of our country.
See you at the corner of Njegoševa and Kursulina streets.
