New French Classic
Maison Francis Kurkdjian was founded in 2009 by Francis Kurkdjian, the renowned perfumer, and Marc Chaya, a business consultant. Their goal was to create a brand of sensual, original, and expressive fragrances that would become a new symbol of French style and perfumery craftsmanship.
The Maison Francis Kurkdjian collection is designed as a "fragrance wardrobe" for all occasions, ready to dress you in scents with many faces, in line with various emotions. From the pure morning scent Aqua Universalis to nighttime perfumes with oud notes in several versions. By conquering the spaces of his brand, Francis Kurkdjian experienced fragrance as a product of his freedom, creativity, sensuality, and perfectionism. Purity, sophistication, timelessness, and the redefinition of classicism are the hallmarks of this house.
Francis Kurkdjian created his first perfume at the age of just 24. It was "Le Mâle" for Jean Paul Gaultier, an international bestseller. Since then, he has worked with the greatest fashion houses (Dior, Guerlain, Saint-Laurent). He has created scent installations in spaces (Grand Palais, Villa Medici, Palace of Versailles…) that have been talked about worldwide.
In 2008, the French Ministry of Culture awarded him the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.
"Perfume, as an art form, is a transferred expression of intimacy" – says Kurkdjian.
