Provocative Perfumes from a Controversial Perfumer
Nasomatto is a unique, creative, and quirky Dutch brand known for its intense fragrances, wild ideas, and "forbidden" pleasures and ingredients, which make these perfumes distinctive, provocative, and captivating on the skin.
Alessandro Gualtieri, the creator of the brand, calls himself "THE nose" and has two perfume projects: Nasomatto and Orto Parisi, both exclusively available at Metropoliten perfumeries.
Gualtieri offers little explanation for his fragrance creations and doesn’t reveal their keynotes, adding to the controversy and mystery surrounding them, making the brand even more intriguing.
Gualtieri brings perfumes into the world that oscillate between the incredible, the fun, the inspiring, and the crazy. Starting with the famous perfume “Black Afgano”, which flirts with narcotic fumes, to “China White”—both perfumes bear slang names for hashish and heroin—their names are suggestive. "Narcotic Venus" is an extraordinarily lavish tuberose that "explores the sexual power of women," and the relationship with it and other house perfumes is strictly "love-or-hate". There is no middle ground.
Do not approach these small bottles if you don’t love bold and provocative perfumes!
