The Naxos Apothecary has its roots in the phytotherapeutic tradition and the rich biodiversity of Greece. The brand draws its inspiration from Naxos, the largest of the Cycladic islands, scattered across the Aegean Sea like a playground for the gods. Zeus grew up there, Dionysus blessed it with excellent wine, and humans enriched the nature of Naxos—its windswept cedar forests and majestic mountains—with ancient temples, Venetian palaces, and Byzantine monasteries.
Through the brand’s natural cosmetics and perfumes, we absorb the Aegean blue, the light over the Cyclades, and the scent of winds that embrace the seas and sway the treetops, while mythical stories are inevitably woven into everything that comes from this land.
Behind the brand lies the heritage of the oldest Greek homeopathic pharmacy in Athens, from which luxurious natural care products and perfumes of unique sensibility have emerged.
The brand is in constant creative dialogue with organic farmers, designers, and researchers who share the same passion for the history, culture, and endemic flora of Naxos.
Their first store was opened in Syntagma Square in Athens, inspired by the iconic pharmacy Mr. Tzivanidis, whose tradition they continue with bottles that embody the spirit of Naxos, bear the names of its landmarks, and feature designs inspired by Cycladic architecture and apothecary tradition.
