“This collection is dedicated to my grandfather, Vincenzo Parisi, and to all those who take the time to experience and spread the fragrance of life,” said Alessandro Gualtieri, creator of the Orto Parisi and Nasomatto brands.
According to the perfumer’s memories, Grandfather Vincenzo used to collect his waste in a bucket, which was later used to fertilize his garden.
“There was always a sense of infinity in his garden. The parts of the body that carry more scent are precisely those where the soul is more concentrated,” Gualtieri explains.
Reflecting on the fact that human body odors have become unpleasant to us and that the inherent animalistic nature expressed through our scent is culturally unacceptable, Gualtieri incorporates this idea into his perfumes, creating a kind of biography of his grandfather and a portrait of his garden.
“This project is a garden I planted, fertilized, and cultivated, and then harvested its fruits,” Gualtieri adds.
Orto Parisi is a brand built on the notion that our body collects experiences like a garden, and its scents are a true reflection of our soul.
