Trudon Scented Candle Madurai
Jasmine was introduced to India from Arabia, its original habitat, by the Tuscan Duke at the end of the 17th century.
Since then, this intoxicatingly fragrant flower—whether fresh or dried—has become an integral part of Indian culture, its myths, and rituals.
Jasmin sambac, a variety renowned for its intense and alluring scent, is used to flavor teas, adorn floral garlands, and offered to gods in Indian temples.
Madurai, a city in southern India, is, according to legend, the place where the god Shiva blessed the land with drops of divine nectar that fell from his hair.
Top notes: ylang-ylang
Heart note: jasmin sambac
Base note: benzoin
Burn time: 55 to 60 hours
Candle care: For the first burn, allow the candle to melt evenly across the entire surface to avoid tunneling.
To preserve the fragrance, do not burn the candle for more than two hours during the first third of the wax, and no longer than one hour during the remaining two-thirds.
If needed, center the wick while the wax is still soft, then allow it to solidify before relighting.
If you notice black smoke, trim the wick—the optimal length is up to 5 mm.
Do not let the candle burn all the way down—leave at least 5 mm of wax at the bottom.
Note: Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep it out of reach of children and pets, and away from curtains.
Protect the surface beneath the candle from heat.
