Trudon Scented Candle Reggio
Europe discovered mandarins in Indochina in 1828, and since then, this luscious fruit has been cultivated along the shores of the Mediterranean.
The coast of Calabria in southern Italy is especially rich in sweet mandarins, whose fragrance perfectly complements the coastal landscape.
Reggio is a picturesque town in southern Italy, nestled in the Calabrian region, known as the site of the first Pythagorean school.
Across the bay, the land is home to famed citrus groves and thousand-year-old olive trees.
The Calabrian mandarin—delicate and fragrant—has been a symbol of the orchards in this region since ancient times.
The scent of the Reggio candle evokes a bygone era, when mandarin essential oils became an indispensable part of the refined perfumery alphabet.
Top notes: grapefruit
Heart note: mandarin
Base note: mimosa
Burn time: 55 to 60 hours
Candle care: For the first burn, allow the candle to melt across the entire surface to avoid tunneling.
To preserve the fragrance, do not burn the candle for more than two hours during the first third of its use, and no longer than one hour during the final two-thirds.
If needed, reposition the wick while the wax is still warm, and let it solidify before lighting again.
If black smoke appears, trim the wick—ideal length is up to 5 mm.
Do not let the candle burn all the way to the bottom—leave at least 5 mm of wax.
Note: Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep it out of reach of children and pets, and away from curtains.
Protect the surface beneath the candle from heat.
