Trudon Scented Candle Tadine
Tadine is a town on the South Pacific island of Maré, known for producing the finest sandalwood along its shores.
Just south of it lies the Isle of Pines, where Englishman Edward Foxhall discovered sandalwood and introduced it to Europe in 1840.
By the end of the 19th century, this noble wood—called candana in Sanskrit and sandal in Arabic—had become a treasured ingredient in hair and body pomades.
To this day, it is used as a natural remedy for anxiety and remains a common component of traditional Asian incense.
On the shores of these South Pacific islands, among sea pines and crystal-clear ocean waters, the currents carry the elegant woody breath of sandalwood—the legendary scent of these lands.
Top note: cardamom
Heart note: sandalwood essential oil
Base note: guaiac wood
Burn time: 55 to 60 hours
Candle care: For the first burn, allow the candle to melt across the entire surface to prevent tunneling.
To preserve the fragrance, do not burn the candle for more than two hours during the first third of the wax, and no longer than one hour during the final two-thirds.
If needed, recenter the wick while the wax is still soft, then allow it to solidify before the next use.
If black smoke appears, trim the wick—optimal length is up to 5 mm.
Do not let the candle burn all the way down—leave at least 5 mm of wax at the bottom.
Note: Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep it out of reach of children and pets, and away from curtains.
Protect the surface beneath the candle from heat.
